2025 John A. Stack Memorial Lecture

It was a wonderful evening as legal professionals from around the province, including Legal Aid Saskatchewan representatives, gathered in Regina on May 8th for the John A. Stack Memorial Lecture with Supreme Court of Canada Justice Mary Moreau. This event was hosted by the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Law.

Moreau practiced criminal, constitutional and civil law as a lawyer in Alberta. In 1994, she was appointed to the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta. In 1996, she was appointed deputy judge of the Supreme Court of Yukon and of the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories in 2005. Justice Moreau has participated in judicial education, administration and ethics throughout her career. In 2023, she was appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada.
The John A. Stack Memorial Lecture is an annual lecture series covering ethics, public policy and various current legal topics.
