Family Matters

Legal Aid Saskatchewan helps low-income people with the following problems:

  • mediation
  • divorce or separation
  • custody of your child
  • joint custody of your child
  • access to your child
  • support for your child
  • support for you (spousal support)
  • have someone declared the father of your child by the court

NOTICE: Legal Aid Saskatchewan is making changes to better serve our family law clients. On June 2, 2025 the Saskatoon City Area Office and the Saskatoon Rural Area Office will be embarking on a one-year pilot project geared toward more fully assisting and supporting clients to resolve issues such as parenting (formerly "custody"), child support, spousal support, divorce, apprehension, and – on a limited basis – adoptions.

The focus of the Saskatoon Family Law Service Center is on meeting clients where they are at, with enhanced supports and expert guidance through all available family law processes both within the Courts and outside of the Courts.

To contact the Saskatoon Family Law Services Center, please call 306.933.7855 or email SFLSC@legalaid.sk.ca.

Legal Aid Saskatchewan’s mediation services have been centralized with the Saskatoon Family Law Service Center. This mediation hub coordinates mediation services province-wide.
