LAS Staff Lawyer Named Best Canadian Woman Lawyer of Punjabi Heritage

Congratulations to Legal Aid Saskatchewan Staff Lawyer, Saadia Ali Bokhari, on receiving the prestigious “Best Canadian Woman Lawyer of Punjabi Heritage” award at the 11th World Punjabi Conference, held in June in Brampton, Ontario.
Expressing her gratitude, Saadia said she is honoured to be recognized and appreciated for her work as a lawyer, social justice advocate, activist, humanitarian, and academic. “I am grateful to God for this achievement. I am also thankful to my parents, siblings, and my very dear friends for their never-ending love and support.”
Saadia is also a past recipient of the 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and the 2018 Odyssey Award.
The World Punjabi Conference is a global forum that brings together Punjabi speakers to celebrate their language, culture, and heritage. It also offers a platform for Punjabi professionals to connect, network, and share their ideas and experiences.
