Staff Lawyers
Legal Aid Saskatchewan staff lawyers are committed to social justice and understand the needs and challenges faced by low-income and marginalized groups.
Our staff lawyers are experienced in criminal and family law.
We represent criminal clients in all areas of criminal law from duty counsel services to full-service representation in areas of youth and adults and include bail hearings, trials, sentencings and legal services in therapeutic courts such as domestic violence court, mental health strategy court and drug treatment court.
We also represent family law clients in full-service matters including divorce, custody (decision-making responsibility), access (parenting time), child support, spousal support and child apprehension matters.
In addition, some of our family law lawyers have also been trained as mediators and provide mediation services to our clients and the opposing parties. This is important as mediation is now mandatory in Saskatchewan for those parties wishing to deal with their matters in court.
