Legal Aid Saskatchewan is pleased to be recognized as one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers (2024)

Saskatchewan's Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers. This special designation recognizes employers in our province that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. Employers are evaluated using these criteria: workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.

Some of the reasons LAS was selected as one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers (2024) include:

  • our commitment to helping employees balance their day-to-day working lives with several flexible working options, including flexible hours, hybrid work, reduced summer hours and an earned days-off program;
  • our support for new parents with maternity and parental leave top-up payments to 95 percent of their salary for 17 weeks, with an option for parents to extend their leave into an unpaid leave of absence; and
  • our prioritization of ongoing professional employee development, from paid internships and formal mentoring to generous tuition subsidies and subsidies for professional accreditation.
