Criminal Matters

Legal Aid Saskatchewan provides three types of services:

Brydges Line: Advice over the phone to anyone being held by police. The police will help you call this line. There is no cost. It is available to everyone.

Duty Counsel Service: A lawyer will help you at a bail hearing. This service is only for people who are on remand. There is no cost. It is available to everyone.

Full Representation: A lawyer will help you with your case. This service is only available to low-income people who are facing jail time. The lawyer will also determine if there is merit to the case. 

* All youth are eligible for legal aid, regardless of the seriousness of their charges or their finances.
